PIN Linking vs Quick Link

Two methods to connect a device to your account.

PIN Linking

Best for: New devices, first-time setup

Process:

1. Get a PIN code from the device’s display
2. Enter the PIN in the web app
3. Device is linked to your account

Security: The PIN expires after 5 minutes and can only be used once.

Quick Link

Best for: Re-linking a previously unlinked device

Process:

1. Scan a QR code with the web app
2. Or enter the device’s quick link code
3. Device is linked to your account

Security: Requires existing authentication session.

When to Use Each

Unlinking Devices

To unlink a device:

1. Go to Devices
2. Find the device you want to unlink
3. Click Unlink
4. Confirm the action

The device will return to its welcome screen.
