PIN Linking vs Quick Link
Two methods to connect a device to your account.
PIN Linking
Best for: New devices, first-time setup
Process:
- Get a PIN code from the device’s display
- Enter the PIN in the web app
- Device is linked to your account
Security: The PIN expires after 5 minutes and can only be used once.
Quick Link
Best for: Re-linking a previously unlinked device
Process:
- Scan a QR code with the web app
- Or enter the device’s quick link code
- Device is linked to your account
Security: Requires existing authentication session.
When to Use Each

Unlinking Devices
To unlink a device:
- Go to Devices
- Find the device you want to unlink
- Click Unlink
- Confirm the action
The device will return to its welcome screen.
