The Status Board template is designed for corporate environments showing global time zones and web content.

Template overview

  • Name: Status Board
  • Best for: Corporate offices, lobbies, and workspaces needing global time awareness
  • Theme: Dark preset for better visibility in various lighting conditions
  • Layout: 12-column grid with three world clocks and a large web content area

Widgets included

1. New York Clock (top-left)

  • Type: Clock widget
  • Timezone: America/New_York (Eastern Time)
  • Format: 12-hour with AM/PM
  • Features: Shows date, no seconds display
  • Label: “New York”
  • Position: Grid position x=0, y=0, w=4, h=3

2. London Clock (top-center)

  • Type: Clock widget
  • Timezone: Europe/London (GMT/BST)
  • Format: 24-hour (military time)
  • Features: Shows date, no seconds display
  • Label: “London”
  • Position: Grid position x=4, y=0, w=4, h=3

3. Tokyo Clock (top-right)

  • Type: Clock widget
  • Timezone: Asia/Tokyo (JST)
  • Format: 24-hour (military time)
  • Features: Shows date, no seconds display
  • Label: “Tokyo”
  • Position: Grid position x=8, y=0, w=4, h=3

4. Web Content (bottom-large)

  • Type: Iframe widget
  • Purpose: Embed external web content, dashboards, or websites
  • Configuration: Empty URL field - add your own content URL
  • Position: Grid position x=0, y=3, w=12, h=6 (full width below clocks)

How to customize

  1. Change clock locations: Click any clock widget to edit its timezone, label, or format
  2. Add your web content: Click the large iframe widget at the bottom and enter a URL
    • Try Google Sheets published to web, internal dashboards, or Google Maps
    • Remember: many websites block embedding due to security restrictions
  3. Adjust layout: Drag widgets to reposition them or resize using the handles
  4. Change theme: Use the dashboard settings to switch between light/dark presets or customize colors

Common use cases

  • Global offices: Show time in key business locations worldwide
  • Lobby displays: Combine time information with company web content or announcements
  • Operations centers: Monitor global operations with embedded status dashboards
  • Remote teams: Help distributed teams coordinate across time zones

Getting started with this template

  1. From the dashboard creation screen, select “From Template”
  2. Choose “Status Board”
  3. The template will be created with the name “My first office dashboard” (you can rename it)
  4. Click the large iframe widget at the bottom to add your web content URL
  5. Click any clock to adjust timezone or label if needed
  6. Save and link a display device to see it live
  • Conference Room template: Focused on calendar displays for meeting spaces
  • Retail template: Full-screen layout for promotional content and digital signage
