How Prorata Works
How Prorata Works
Understanding prorated charges when you upgrade.
What is Prorata?
Prorata billing means you only pay for the time you use. When you upgrade mid-cycle, you’re charged for the remaining days in your billing period.
Example
Current plan: Free (monthly) Billing date: 1st of month Upgrade date: 15th of month
You have 15 days remaining in the billing cycle. The prorata charge is:
(Pro monthly price - Free monthly price) × (days remaining / days in month)= ($49 - $0) × (16 / 31)= $49 × 0.52= $25.48How to Upgrade
