From signup to a live screen in 5 minutes

Follow these steps to get your first dashboard live on a screen in under 5 minutes:

Step 1: Sign up and create your account

  1. Go to dotblast.app and click “Get Started Free”
  2. Enter your email address and verify with the 6-digit code sent to your inbox
  3. Complete your profile setup

Step 2: Choose a template

  1. From your dashboard homepage, click “From Template” (recommended for first-time users)
  2. Browse the available templates: Office, Conference Room, or Retail
  3. Select the template that best matches your use case
  4. Your dashboard will be created automatically with placeholder widgets

Step 3: Customize your dashboard

  1. Click on any widget to edit its settings
  2. Replace placeholder data with your actual information:
    • For the Clock widget: Set your timezone
    • For the Calendar widget: Add your calendar URL (Google, Outlook, or iCal)
    • For the Weather widget: Enter your location
    • For the Chart widget: Update the sample data with your metrics
    • For the Image/Carousel widget: Upload your images or add image URLs
  3. Drag and drop widgets to arrange them as desired
  4. Resize widgets by dragging their corners
  5. Click “Save” to preserve your changes

Step 4: Connect your display device

  1. Click “Quick Link” in the top toolbar
  2. Set an expiry time (5, 15, 30, or 60 minutes) and click “Generate”
  3. A URL and QR code will appear — no PIN required
  4. On your display device (TV, tablet, or monitor):
    • Open a web browser and navigate to the URL shown, or scan the QR code
    • Your dashboard will auto-register on that device and appear on screen

Step 5: Verify and go live

  1. Make any final adjustments to your dashboard
  2. Click “Save” - your changes will update automatically on all connected displays
  3. You’re now live! Your dashboard will refresh with current data at regular intervals

  • Start simple: You can always add more widgets later
  • Test readability: View your dashboard from where your audience will see it
  • Use templates: They’re designed by professionals for common use cases
  • Keep it updated: The more relevant your data, the more valuable your dashboard becomes
